Well, Daughter is a great example on all the talk about PJ ballads or not....while this is not a ballad per se, its way more complex, Stone Gossard really shines here. I love what he brought.
Wish modern PJ did these types of song way more often, they were so good.

Glorified G is the first of this one that took me a while to appreciate. The bridge is so good, very tight, the interaction of the whole band locked in, classic PJ was born in way i guess.
Jeff´s great here...he is using an upright bass here? and damn i love what Dave A does on the bridge.

I love how different the production is from Ten, it does sound very bright and clear but the mix is amazing, and there are so different nuggets here and there...why cant Backspacer sound like this?

Daughter couldn't have happened the way it did without Dave A.
someone compared a Dark Matter song to Daughter, let's see how that turns out

Probably yes, but they still dropped that type of song and boy, oh it was wonderful

I would be fascinated to see if a re-recorded 2024 version of Daughter with Matt Cameron on drums and Watt on production would ruin it for you

I used to loved Blood because of how heavy and funky it was, i could show my RATM fans this one and say to fuck off. I still like it a lot, but its been a while since i wanted to listen to it.
Again, groove and funk is something is miss a lot these days. Im happy that they gained a bit of that with Gigaton and DM, the song.

RVM is still a classic and i love how improved this one is live, with both Jack and Matt. I actually prefer this one live from 2000s onwards because the bridge is very Sonic Youth, very noisy and with Dave it was way more hard rock in a way.
The studio song is absolutely amazing. Pearl Jam right here.

with Matt? nah, i listened to matt live version since 1998 and i love it too. Watt on production is another story, this studio version sounds awesome really, the guitar tones, the volume, the space.
