The Pearl Jam eBay Thread

Wed January 29, 2014 6:12 pm

On the RM2 we used to get pissy about what this thread was for. I'm declaring this thread for whatever eBay stuff you want. Sell. Buy. Admire. Hate. You're call.

That being said, you have 4 hours in which to purchase Brad Klausen's set of boots from 2000.

Damn. So the current bid ($999) on this is up to over $15 for each of 72 boots? And they're not even sealed?

Who at the 10C office is bidding on this?

Brad Klausen wrote:Over the past few years my girlfriend and I have been transforming the
outside space around our house into a big edible garden. When we bought
the house (or as I like to say, when we bought the loan) the front and
back yard was just grass. We've been landscaping and turning all that empty
lawn space into gardens. We've made raised beds out of rocks, put in gravel
paths, and are currently building a chicken coop. It's really taking shape.

I didn't realize how interested and enamored I'd become in this project. It's
easily one of the most interesting art projects I've ever been involved in.

The more we continue with this project, the more ideas we get. So in
order to fund more parts of this project, I decided to sell some things I
figure some of you out there might be interested in that aren't really doing
much at my house except taking up space and not being enjoyed as they were
designed to be.

Music...
I've had a box of sealed Riot Act LPs that's just been taking up space ever
since that record came out... there are 7 LPs in that box, I am selling 6.
Along with a complete 2000 bootleg set and a set of the Japan and Australia
2003 boots.

Posters...
Normally I keep numbers 1-3 of any poster I create. I've always felt like
I need to keep multiples of everything I've done, but as time has gone by
I've realized I only need one, maybe 2. So I've decided to offer some of the
#1 and #2's of some of my archived posters. I figure there are much better
homes for these posters then inside my flat files, and it will help raise some
funds for us to continue this landscaping art project as we've got a lot of big
ideas we want to try an accomplish.

All that other stuff has already been sold.

If anyone finds this stupid poster for under $150 let me know, yeah? I've been looking since the PJ20 weekend and everyone wants to be an asshole and sell it for $500+

There's a few things for sale that used to belong to Dave Abbruzze.

I purchased a storage unit at auction that contained a lot of Dave’s personal and professional equipment and items. I met with him and am in the process of getting many of his things back to him and in the meantime he has authorized me to sell a lot of the items he no longer uses to reduce the amount of space he needs.

Pearl Jam road case.

Mini snare drum Christmas ornament.

Rototom.

DW hi-hat pedal thingo.

Oh man it's tempting to own the roto that was probably played on WMA. FUCK.

Go for it, not much time left...

Couldn't justify it. It's the wrong time of my life for such an indulgent purchase.

Oh man, that road case would be awesome!

I would never sell it but how much do you think the Matt Cameron 2000 tour drumset would go for?

You were just dying for a chance to drop that comment, weren't you?

Sort of.

But I really would like to get an idea of the value.

If the gear case is going to go for $2,000...

How'd you acquire that?

Kind of a long story that can be found in old board archives.

Donn was not going to sell this set but I talked him into and let's just say I pulled in a huge favor from my parents who have always been very supportive of my drumming (and PJ habit).

This would have been in spring of 2002 I am pretty sure. The receipt is kept in a safety deposit box.
