Bushleaguer EP Bushleaguer Green Disease Help Help 1/2 Full Other Side Undone
I love Riot Act until Get Right which is an okay track, as is Green Disease. But those two back to back and then into Help Help leaves me cold. Bushleaguer was okay on the first listen and it's one of those risky songs that is easily dated and ages an album. For that reason alone I would have pushed for a Bushleaguer EP/mini album. And GD, HH, 1/2F and Undone would have fitted that perfectly. I've thrown Otherside into that playlist as I really love that song and I think the vibe of it matches the rest of the 'ep'. also, the line about New York streets may be significant.
4 stars till GD so I'll give it 3 stars. But it was really nice to hear a few experiments like Help Help and Bushleaguer.
i like the idea of an EP record, but 1/2 full deserves to be in the LP.
I can't quite say the same. But it was absolutely a right album for me at the time. And given all of the massive, heavy shit going on in my life at the time, it was an album that helped me, for sure. It got me through some rough stuff. I can't say it saved me, but I would be comfortable saying it protected me.
I think like nearly every Pearl Jam album, it was sort of the right album at the right time for me. But what meant more to me at the time was the tour more than the album. It served as a last hurrah for many things that year before essentially starting the process of growing up with law school and such, and it was the one time I really went all out - for me - by seeing 6 shows across the tour, 4 of which were in 6 days (Albany, Indianapolis, MSG 1 & 2, Mansfield 3, and Hershey). I made a few good friends and saw a lot of great live music on that tour, and it just meant a whole lot to me at the time.

"dad, he's gone up in flames, but this ain't no movie, this ain't no book you can close, when the big lie hits your eye" This part moved me immediately. Also the way Stone Gossard is showing off his intelligence in bushleaguer is unique. I listen to riot act exclusively on vinyl only when I'm alone and I have free time.

Recently managed to score this, No Code, Lost Dogs and the original pressings of Ten, Vs and Vitalogy on Vinyl for quite a steal - haven't had a chance to listen to them all yet though

Do people think All or None and Indifference basically have the same message? Or are there subtle (but important) differences between them (I'm looking at you, Joey)

Don't think for a second that I didn't see this post... I'm just working out my reply.
