I’ve never denied I like Amongst the Waves. Been open open about that since the 30 second clip was released before the album. That said, it’s still well down my overall PJ favorites list. Hell, it’s on Backspacer in which every song sucks to some degree. I like DMB, but mostly live stuff and old albums. Before These Crowded Streets is a great album though.

I remember seeing DMB for the first time on SNL with my dad. We went out and bought UTTAD and RTT the next day. I stuck around for a while and do appreciate the musicianship very much. But there's something so hippe-broish about Dave Matthews that I'll never be able to get past.

Yeah, best to not risk damaging your cool-factor. The approval of all those anti-DMBers is so much more valuable than enjoying something. Totes agree.

lol it has nothing to do with that and everything to do with his lyrics feeling fake to me. also his music is boring.

Then why not say that? I don't care one way or the other. But if you like something, like it and don't apologize. Ditto if you don't. Life's too short, you know?

I like not liking Dave Matthews and I don't care who knows it.

Actually there is quite a large portion of DMB stuff I really don’t care for. But most of the stuff that I like, I actually love.

I had a bad exPerience at a Dave Matthews band concert once and it's always reflected poorly on the band, even though they had nothing to do with it. Other than the fact they sucked.

i thoroughly dislike dave matthews band, but...

he lives (or at least used to live) in town. i was at a party one night, and we were in the backyard grilling some burgers and drinking beer. dave matthews' head suddenly popped up over the fence and asked if he could have a burger and a beer.
