You don’t get accused of pearl jam by numbers three or even five albums into your career. That doesn’t stick. Their first five albums are radically different to one another and all within only 8 years of being a band.
The accusation sticks when it happens in the later half of the second decade of being a band and trying too hard and failing to conjure past glories. Numerous songs on Avocado and backspacer are obviously guilty of this.
Lightning bolt at least didn’t contain any. Rather it tries with Sirens to do a similar thing but in an entirely new way. And look how that was received.

Backspacer represents the peak of human musical intellect. The album is so brilliant, all scores and recordings of Mozart’s should be burned to free humanity of the shame of having once viewed him as history’s greatest composer.

The beginning part of The Fixer (and bridge) with Ed's layered "uh huhhh huh, Ah huh uh huhhh" always reminded me of the Paul Westerberg song from the Singles soundtrack

wonder if it's a Monkeywrench Records issue. if 10c can't get a holiday single out within a year of the holiday, i highly doubt international streaming royalties and rights is something they can settle in a quick fashion

the weirdest thing is that sometimes songs from no code or other albums disappear and they put a live version instead.
Right now, times of trouble from TOTD is a live version.
that's really weird. i never understood that either... happens in the US every so often, though I've never seen it with PJ. the guy who sits next to my desk works with record labels and streaming rights, i'll ask him what the deal is with that. curious myself.
