Binaural
Lightning Bolt
Pearl Jam
Backspacer
Riot Act

Binaural with some subs from the outtakes comes in just under Vitalogy. Yield and Ten climbed in the last 5 - 10 years.

Nice going on record before the new album drops. Can’t wait to see where it fits in.

Binaural would be higher if there were more Tchad Blake mixes. :heartbeat:

I listened to backspacer + lightning bolt LPS about a year ago..

-Backspacer I made it through, just turned it off at "The end" I really only enjoyed a few songs though.

-Lightning bolt, the first few songs were ok,I just remember not enjoying the production, then sirens came on, I realised i would have to get through that + lightning bolt (the song) and turned it off. :shake:

I can’t rank things cos it’ll change by the time I’m finished.

But lightning bolt is last every time.

Haven't done this in some time...

Yield
Binaural
Vitalogy

Vs.
No Code
Ten
Riot Act

Pearl Jam

Lightning Bolt
Backspacer

Most of this is relatively set. The top 3 can sometimes shift around a bit, Vs. and Ten sometimes swap, and the bottom three has been in that order for a while. The wild card is No Code; it can go from being my favorite PJ record to one I don't really listen to at all, probably on the level with Riot Act. Which I kind of like about it; it's the only PJ record that refuses to settle, that I'm still grappling back and forth with. I still enjoy listening to the others, but have a firmer grasp on which particularly appeal to me and why.

Actually disregard my other post and I'll co-sign this one.

It was my top album on the strength of especially the highs. I mean, I have a hard time arguing for greater highs in the Pearl Jam catalogue than Red Mosquito, In My Tree, Smile, Present Tense, Hail Hail, Sometimes, and Off He Goes

The change comes front running straight through and really finding some incredible insights into the three I now have above it.

If Gigaton nestles itself in between Binaural/Riot Act/Avocado I will be satisfied at this juncture.

I believe the band has it in them to create at least one more classic album. Perhaps Gigaton will be classic - but it's going to have to be pretty damn amazing to crack that top 7.

I'm just hoping it's not embarrassing, and at least better than Backspacer and Lightning Bolt...If that's the case, I'll consider this a win.

It’s a lot more likely that I will listen to the newer albums than the first ones, but still can’t rank them above.
