Updated with Dark Matter…and it could possibly rise even further… also need to swap self titled and Riot Act from last ranking

BOOOOOOOO
What do you disagree with on my album ranking?
Binaural is PJ's best so let’s argue about it for the next 100 pages!
Definitely disagree with you there. Not a big Binaural fan but Light Years is one of my top favorite songs. A couple other decent tracks but not a big fan of the album as a whole. At least it isn’t a major clunker like Lightning Bolt.
You're dumb and i hate you and you also rate riot act and no code at the bottom what are you an idiot?
No I’m not dumb nor an idiot. Not everyone has to like everything exactly how you do. Maybe that’s my preference?
strat is made of 90% love and 10% fear he is not loveable. there is no actual malice in that post

Yield - this remains firmly at the top. It will never move. Vitalogy No Code Vs Binaural Riot Act Ten Gigaton Dark Matter - I could see this moving ahead of Gigaton over time, but that’s it. Pearl Jam Backspacer *X-Mas singles Lightning Bolt
*might be better than Backspacer.

Or something like that.

I didn't realize you had Ten that high
It's hard to fault that set of songs.
That said, the only two records I think of as truly top tier are Vs and No Code. Vitalogy and Yield are also excellent, if slightly less consistent.
Beyond that, I'm usually dipping in and out as needed to hear favourite songs, rather that approaching them as cohesive listening experiences.
fair enough. One of the reasons I have Backspacer and L-Bolt so high is that they have always been cohesive experiences for me the way the No Code -> S/T records have not been (with the one minor exception of Supersonic). Higher highs on many of those records (especially Yield and S/T) but if I was going to put on a pearl jam record from start to finish it's likely to be the first 3 or last 4. Those middle records are a lot messier.

Yep, Dark Matter is fantastic and what a gift to get it at this point in time. Still, it’s gonna have to earn every inch of territory when competing with the other albums.
So far I can rank DM at #11 ahead of Lightning Bolt but it’s gonna take time to move it above some of the others. I can realistically see it getting to #8 (ahead of S/T, Backspacer and Gigaton) or maybe, just maybe #7 ahead of No Code.

I'm making three assumptions with this ranking that are important. A. Based on my preferred listening environment for each B. Based on my preferred tracklist C. Includes any and all outtakes/b-sides that I think belong with each
1. Vitalogy 2. Binaural 3. Yield 4. Vs. 5. Ten 6. No Code 7. Dark Matter 8. Riot Act 9. Pearl Jam 10. Gigaton 11. Backspacer 12. Lightning Bolt
