I adore that vinyl.

did you know those songs beforehand? I'd certainly feel differently if I hadn't, but I thought those were widespread/well known.

That's one of my favourite Christmas singles, those songs had never been available in such good quality before.

Yeah that one was fantastic.

Okay, if the quality is significantly better that's another mark in its favor. I've had these on boots for a long time and neither was a particular favorite, so I think that single got one listen out of me.

my favorite singles are ones that contain studio songs. whether they suck or not, just gives the air of more of an effort

Even if it's Turning Mist?

Agreed. This may be too highbrow for some. ;)

Here she is talking about it:

Did anyone here actually expect something besides the breezy and humid mist of a particularly wet fart, when it came time to receive the Pearl Jam Ten Club holiday single for the year of our lord 2013?

Re: The holiday single thread

Thu December 19, 2013 9:31 pm

I guess the only real disappointment is it was a missed opportunity to release a Lightning Bolt cast off or two. But honestly, those songs probably suck too.

Other than that this is a perfectly cromulent holiday single.

99 problems is ok, Jeff sounds like he's playing WMA.

I watched the video of Jeanne Triplehorn on Kimmel, and it explains why they did it. Anyway, I would have liked to fuck Jeanne when she played Tom Cruise's wife in The Firm. Not so much anymore.

The No Jeremy/Falling Down single was nice. Good quality of a pretty fantastic performance at Red Rocks. Enough said.

Though Cold Confession/Let it Ride would have been tops.

I have wanted to hear all the duets Eddie performed at that EB event, so I was very happy to hear this one. I think it is hilarious too. :D

But you'd still do it right?

nah, they're hanging on to that. they know there are enough people who are gaga over it to make a profit at some point.

I really like this one. The Ujam thing was a good choice. I never listen to it, but it was, at least in theory, a cool collaboration. And LROM is my favorite thing to appear on any Xmas single.

I feel like this is easily the worst Christmas single. A song they had recorded for a movie and a cover that is legitimately one of the most embarrassing moments in the band's career.

This year's single looks pretty good, though I wish they'd go back to recording new stuff.

Yeah that 06 one was awful.
