"Changed" is the more interesting line. "Chains" is prosaic and dull |

I could be misremembering. But I'm not making that up. Ed's handwritten lyrics also read "get out of my lucky face." Not to be trusted. That is just because Ed doesn't like to write down curse words. He's just like lenny Maybe lenny is Ed. |

Ironic considering how he loves to awkwardly shoehorn them in wherever he can "Got so many questions I dunno who the FUCK Im ever gonna ask!" "With no powerrr...fuckin NOTHING to do" |

Are the hand-written lyrics Jorge spoke of on the vinyl version of Vitalogy? I checked out my CD, and it has no lyrics for Corduroy. |

Yeah, the original certainly didn't: Quote: That's why instead of a lyric sheet we put in an X-ray of my teeth from last January and they are all in very bad shape, which was analogous to my head at the time.[1]

For what it's worth, though the original lyric is "chains", I don't think Ed can remember which it is either as he's definitely sung "changed" for both lines countless times at live shows. |

I fucking hate the production/mixing on this song. So much. It's to the point where I can barely even listen to it anymore. |

This sounds flatter than I remember ... be cool to have a mashup of a song like this from 95 through all its versions to now. It never changed I know. Just the way it's played has so much. |

I really didn't like how Eddie sang live in 1995. |

stip wrote: I really didn't like how Eddie sang live in 1995. I can agree with that now. I loved it at the time. He's growling and roaring and full of piss and vinegar during that whole period with only the barest notion of melody. Cos he was intense and angry about everything and that fit. Looking back on a lot of it induces some cringe. |
