I hate this song. I think this song is so awful and boring. I don't get it at ALL. I love Pearl Jam's beautiful and slow songs but this song isn't beautiful its just plodding and boring. nothing disappoints me more than hearing this song open a bootleg. Its like...'next' I legit think this song has no redeeming qualities there isn't one part I like. Maybe the part where he says 'down down down down' or something. I don't get why people find this song to be good, I just don't get what I'm not hearing in it. |

love this tune. the first pj song i ever saw live.. for that and other reasons, it's pretty special to me. however, i'm not a fan of the way eddie's been singing it oh.. the last 6-7 years or so, where he feels the need to "go big" at the end. no need for that. but that's a nitpick.. still love hearing it at shows |

This song makes me so goddamn emotional! Just heard the story of how it was written again (7/7/06 San Diego). What an amazing story... Also, Hartford 2013, after the Sandy Hook tragedy... the televised benefit for New Orleans after Katrina with Neil and Mike... I love this fucking song! |
