Each album in some way responds to or grows from the one before it, so in the end it feels like a pretty organic journey. And don't rush. You only get to go through the catalog for the first time once. Take your time. You've got a few years to catch up.
I was late the PJ party as well. In the 90's I was listening to the backstreet boys...god help me. I have since seen the error of my ways and I have repented! I've been a proud Pearl Jam fan since June. If you can take your time as you go through the albums then you are stronger than I am...
Just so you know, the original Pearl Jam have split in 2005. There is a newer band with a similar name who have released their self-titled debut in 2006 and two more albums since. Stay away from them at all cost.

Yep, because everyone here HATES that a forum run by the band doesn't let posters go on long, nitpicky rants about things they hate about the band, speculation on band members' personal lives, etc.
