Yes, I read through them when they were new. Interesting that Gigaton didn’t end up on top.

It was close. Third is appropriate. I love Binaural and Vs.

Vs. is extremely top heavy because of about five or six mega hitters, but the low end isn’t bad at all. Binaural has my second favorite song ever, and the rest is almost all completely great (with a couple small shortcomings). Gigaton is most like Ten in that every single second is worth attention and worth effort to listen intently to. It’s Pearl Jam’s longest album, but to me, it goes bye twice as fast as their shortest album (Backspacer), and I’m left wanting to listen to the entire thing again. Over, and over. This may ultimately end up my favorite PJ album. I’m not limiting it. But there is a lot of history that I have with all of these songs, some almost 30 years deep, and it will take some longevity for Gigaton to ultimately equal the impact so many PJ albums have had on my life. But in this time, this crazy and uncertain time, Gigaton has hit like a ton of bricks, in a most distinct and important way. This album is lyrically and musically on par with anything Pearl Jam has ever done. That’s a fact. And only time will tell it’s ultimate tale.

I have some degree of “like” with the first 171 songs on my list. That’s how amazing PJ is. Out of nearly 200 songs, I love/like/enjoy/appreciate almost 90% of them. Holy hell.
