Don't watch the video if you want to keep thinking he "stormed off" the stage.

:D Ok...
Change the topic to "Jeff gracefully glides away from the stage at a totally prudent time to do so"

We were in section 213. All was fine most of the night when Ed on the fly decided to do band intros. When he got to Matt Cameron he was about to say “the best drummer in the world,” and cut himself off then said “there’s 2 great drummers here tonight,” likely referring to the Fugazi guy next.

After that, Ed went off on a pretty wide tangent and by the time he wrapped it up, he forgot to mention Jeff, and failed to the rest of the night. Then you had Ed focused on getting the Iowa t-shirt guy down (aka yellow shirt guy). To that point, Jeff showed no sign of upset from our distant seat.

But when RITFW was ending, he made it clear as you saw in the video. I’ve seen shows since ’98, and have never seen anyone depart like that. Only thing close to it I’ve seen is someone waive off doing Ledbetter at the end, like Cameron did at Columbia in ’08.

Jeff was clearly unhappy and walked right past Ed, taking off his monitors, then dropping the batter pack thing on Boom’s keyboard, so people could see. Did not waive to crowd or anything. Never seen him act that way.

I can't believe these guys are wasting blog space with this. Seriously? This is comically stupid.

Alternative Nation is the worst. I hope MTV sues them for copyright infringement.

Oddly enough, that gif makes it seem much worse than I imagined it would be.

But that's probably cause in my mind what actually happened was Jeff was three feet ahead of the rest of the band when he walked off and maybe didn't stop to acknowledge the fans behind the stage for as long as the other guys did.

But clearly, RIP PJ. :peace:

He probably just had to pee really bad.

He looked annoyed to me. And I watch Jeff Ament really really really, really really really, really, closely.

This will someday make a really good Paul Harvey "rest of the story" radio hit.

After watching the clip in the live forum, I imagine he wasn't happy about the dude being invited on stage. Stone is ripping one of the best RITFW solos and the crowd is cheering when Ed walks over to yellow shirt or gives a drink to yellow shirt or dances with yellow shirt. Makes sense to me.

He thought the show sucked and wanted to be the first one to post about it on RM.

I think it was yellow guy as well. He seemed to jab his finger in the direction of the audience. At least as far as I can tell from the little screen on my phone. And he seemed to be stuck in the corner at one point.
