The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Someone on here posted a hilarious video in a RHCP thread once. I think. Maybe it was platy. I dont know. but it was a funny video of Anthony Keides looking all awkward while the band was improving on a badass jam.

Anyone?
It's the video that best captures Anthony Kiedis's role in the band.

I find it to have a bit of a disequilibrium effect. Like, it's full of all these sunny tones and bouncing rhythms, but then it's also got this incredibly claustrophobic feel to the arrangements and production at times. It almost seems like it's got an anxiety disorder.
But I've only listened to it twice, so I dunno. Interesting...engaging...but I don't know that I've come away from a listen in the grips of it, yet.

I haven't heard it yet. I'm not big on Arcade Fire, but I'm a huge James Murphy fan so I do really want to check it out. I know I've posted a few times on here that I'd love to see Pearl Jam work with him (and have been told how wrong I was to feel that way).

Thats a great idea, that works well with my plans. I always at least since No Code felt they should give Mick Jones from the clash a chance as a producer. So how about co producers two sessions 12 years apart one with Murphy and One with Taylor. That could be the Tides and Echoes album. No those two producers would work really well together

maybe it's time for this thread to... something else?
No not something else! I am trying to start a producer debate so we can get practiced up for the bass player debate. Stip asked Lament about the new Arcade Fire. Lament went into cool DJ producer mode. Then in turn I went into Big Audio Dynamite mode. So can't you see we are folowing Stip so this thread can not should not ever not become something else. This will become the Arcade Fire would be a cool band for Jeff Ament thread.
