It took me nearly 20 years to love this song, but it has recently became an absolute favorite of mine. Light Years has probably risen in esteem more than any PJ song for me over the years. Binaural is truly a masterpiece. I know I’ve been praising Gigaton constantly since it was released, and I do love Gigaton, but Binaural is just so incredibly special. 20 years later it is still revealing itself to me, and I am just mesmerized by its depth and beauty.

I remember the first time i listened to it. I bought it in the afternoon, left it on my house and went to my swimming lessons. Came back at night and listened to it. I remember feeling somehow disappointed, there wasnt any quick grab like Yield had.

I loved Breakerfall, Rival, and Sleight of Hand early on but Binaural was no where near my favorite album for many years. I actively didn’t enjoy a significant portion of it. But this beauty has been blooming for 20 years, and I now see it for the amazing piece of art that it is.

it didnt take long to me. On a couple of listens i already got the album. I was super surprised by it. The sound, the lyrics, the booklet.
Perfect.
I’m not saying it took 20 years for me to love Binaural, after all it has been my favorite album for years. But it did take quite some time for me to really appreciate it for what it is. And I really do think it is unique and remarkable in its ability to still be fresh and interesting all these years later.
