I wore a PJ shirt to the Mariners game today, just a general one not for a specific concert, and the guy (kid) taking tickets goes "Ah, Pearl Jam huh. How was that?"
I didn't quite know how to respond. I'm like... how was what?
Back when I used to work in corporate retail we used to have to email our daily updates and other general bullshit to our regional vice president's "executive assistant" several times a week. I never met this person, but I sent her about six emails per week, none of which she ever responded to. Today she popped up on my "people you may know" feed in Facebook, since apparently we have several mutual friends from my old job. So I visited her page, and virtually all of her FB pictures are pictures of Eddie Vedder, some with inspirational quotes on them (there's one that says "I'll ride the wave where it takes me" in shadow-text across a sensitive-looking picture of 1991 Eddie, for example), along with a few drawings that could probably be in the "Ed Art" thread. For some reason I found this incredibly satisfying.
A student on campus had the Jeremy choices shirt the other day. I walked across the street to confirm and to tell them nice shirt. Really random.
This reminds me of a great "evenslow is a dipshit story."
Was in a 7/11 about 15 years ago, rockin' my orange ape/man t-shirt. Saw some dude ahead of me in line wearing the exact same shirt. We locked eyes and I said (without irony), "Yeah man. Pearl Jam."
