There aren’t many rock stars that can get away with fading hairlines.

It ruined Billy Corgan. Guy even changed his name.

Sting pulled it off, but generally no. Lucky for Ian Mackaye he went bald at 15.

It’s weird because David Crosby figured it out like immediately, and no one listened.

Ben Harper wears a hat or a headband to cover it up. I say live it up. Then again, Neil Young looks like a thick haired Adonis next to me.

Not sure if this has been brought up before. I've been listening to this podcast called Song vs. Song, where the hosts debate the merits of two somewhat similar or related songs and match them against each other. It's nothing super in depth, just two folks riffing -- good to listen to while cooking.

Anyway, one of their episodes was "Jeremy" vs. "Black Hole Sun"

From Great Circle, Maggie Shipstead's new novel:

"Would they just be bones now?" I asked Mitch, shouting over the Jeep's flapping top and Pearl Jam on Canadian radio."

:haha:

The Music episode of Adam Ruins Everything when he gets to the live music segment. He even sprung for a band to play PJ in the episode.

When I opened spotify on my phone yesterday, I had a suggestion for a podcast called, "60 Songs That Explain the '90s." It's a Ringer podcast, and Rob Harvilla hosts. The first episode goes back to Oct 2020, and each week Rob covers a different 90s song, along with a guest. Of course, I scrolled to see if there was a PJ song - there isn't just yet. However, there is Hunger Strike (link below), and Rob breaks it down, history, what was going on with the Seattle scene at that time, etc. One thing I did not know is Chris Cornell took the intro from Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns, and put his own spin on it for Hunger Strike.

It's worth checking out.
