Pretty sure PJ negotiated ownership of their master tapes when they left Epic. Someone feel free to correct m, but assuming that’s true it nullifies that theory as far as PJ is concerned
wished they gave a quick talk on Hummus, but alas nada. they probably forgot about it entirely.
It was pretty awkward how emphatically Jeff went on about forgetting Red Dot existed. And didn’t they both refer to it as “Red Bars“ or something?
Yeah, he did call it "Red Bar" a couple times before he got it right.
I was more surprised that Stone thought he didn't even play on Wishlist until Jeff corrected him.
It is interesting to hear these little details about their recording process and how different our perceptions of them have always been. I would have never guessed that Jeff wasn't even around for No Way or DTE, thinking the album was basically done already. Just seems like Brendan had a ton of influence on how everything came together.
Such a great album and for me, just loving that era of the band. I would never replace Binaural, but it is a shame they never got another album with Jack. It was kinda neat to hear how their perspective that they may have gone on some type of world music detour because of Jack's influence.

If you can't get enough Yield love, I was a guest on this week's State of Love and Trust Podcast to talk about Yield's legacy and only say nice things! It's a great podcast that I hopefully make some contribution to. Independent of me they have a very cool guest coming up next week that I am excited to tune in for.

I posted this on the Pearl Jam Ten Club Members Facebook page. Waste of time that was. 90% of them are a bunch of morons.
Have a listen and tell me what you think
I think I've come across a sound buried low into the mix of Do The Evolution that hasn't been picked up before. If you have Apple music go to the studio version and click the lyrics symbol bottom left. Then click the microphone button and drag the slider all the way down. This provides an on-the-fly karaoke version. Listen closely at the 46 - 48 second mark. You can hear some ruffling and what appears to be the sound of a dog barking.

my feelings of disappointment in the band for not putting together a deluxe reissue of this album are back.
for a bunch of guys who love stackin that paper, it doesn't make a lot of sense that they stopped doing them
I feel like their focus came back around to the present and touring. If it was more a one-man-machine like Corgan and the Pumpkins it would be different but that's just not the case as this band seems very much still a team at the present.
