Some people have no commitment. You know what? I think I knew he'd do this. The signs were there.

Someone post a tribute thread for this thread. I'm too lazy to do it, but I'll take an executive producer credit.

This is not the greatest thread in the world. This is just a tribute.

if a few brave souls put all the good posts in here, no one will have to read that thread again. this is a good deed.

Ok, here are my selected highlights from 1001-1050. About halfway down 1004 (starting with durdencommatyler asking "You guys ever wonder what would happen if none of us posted about Pearl Jam for one day. Just one whole 24 hour day. No Pearl Jam posts at all. What would happen?") through the first 3/4 of 1005 is all gold, but almost none of it was in pyramid form, so I've left all of it out for now.

Also, my concept of what's worth preserving is probably way off, so I apologize that I'm probably the only one who enjoys these following posts...

I learned alot last night on Vh1 classic. They had a special about grunge. They spent a fair amount of time talking about Ed's yordel I think that is what they called it. The Melvins called it a rock star overbite. Mark Arm was on this which was cool. I also found out Pearl Jam took a break in the late 90's. This is the coolest part Brendan O Brian compared Pearl Jam to Paul Rodger this is true I am not making this up. Jerry Cantrell was also jamming with Nickleback.

I repeat I did not make this up.

just looked it up. It is a series about the evolution of metal

I have to disagree. But that's probably cause she looks like my sister.

Flip your sister over.

Problem solved.

These are three arena rockbands with baritone vocalists, that is about all they have in common. I am not a fan of Nickleback, but they get some respect from me. Creed not so much.

One of the first fake track listings had Brian O'Brendan as the producer.

So here are my picks from 1051 - 1100. Once again, there were some things that weren't in pyramid form and couldn't be captured without copying a billion things. Specifically KurtLeon's death begins on 1082, and Dave's Song starts while KurtLeon's death (and Kat's appearance) are going on. They stop at page 1088, but then on 1091 Sea shows up and Dave's Song starts again, going until around 1095. As for the rest...

They went backwards all the way to ten and then busted through it to the otherside. We're a fraction away from 'what the funk is up' people.

Deep down every pearl jam song is about surfing. Definitely all of eddies.

The next Christmas single needs to be ed singing 'waaaaaavvvvveesss wwwaaaaavvvveesssss waaavvvveeessssuuuuuaaaaaarrrgghhh' over some acoustic guitar.

I know talking about the song Lightning Bolt probably isn't appropriate in this thread, but I woke up this morning with some lyrics to Gin and Juice set to LB's melody. It went something like this.

I got a pocket full of rubbers and
(you've gotta know you'll never let her go)

My homeboys do
(Lightning bolt!)
They do too
(Lightning bolt!)

With so much drama in the L-B-C / it's kinda hard bein Snoop D-O-double-G
(Always something and never nothing / Isn’t that the way we’re taught to dream)

RIP Cleverman :peace:

I hate it when NOBDY gives everyone shit.

Nice work, Lament, and others. It's good to know that my quip about Jon Bongiovi's yellow mane shall remain. Forever.

Ye-e-e-llow Mane, o-o-o-on the r-i-i-i-i-se (with the he-elp of a well pa-haid stylist and good hari-dry-yy-yy-herrrrrr).
