Excuse me. You have a one before the two in front of the Lightning Bolt track. You meant to type 2.

Not only am I going to rank them but I'm going to retrack this bad boy already. Rankings 1. My Fathers Son 2. Getaway 3. Lightning Bolt 4. Pendulum 5. Sleeping By Myself 6. Swallowed Whole 7. Infallible 8. MYM 9. Yellow Moon 10. Sirens 11. Let The Records Play
12. Future Days
Yellow Moon and Infallible will be climbing the charts soon.
So I also reworked the tracklist a little and I really love it with just a couple of changes. Opening with My Fathers Son and then into MYM is a great 1 2 punch. Getaway then fills the God's dice roll. Next instead of the awkward Sirens transition it goes to Infallible. That's basically it.
1. My Fathers Son 2. Mind Your Manners 3. Getaway 4. Infallible 5. Lightning Bolt 6. Sirens 7. Pendulum 8. Swallowed Whole 9. Let the Records Play 10. Sleeping By Myself 11. Yellow Moon. 12.
Fuck FD. Seriously, fuck that song right in it's fuck hole. I can't get into it in any way.

1. Getaway -- the more and more I listen, the more and more I love it. 2. Lightning Bolt -- I seem to be in the minority on this one, but I find it catchy as hell and have been grooving on it since the half album leak 3. Infallible -- to me, this is the most interesting song on the album. It doesn't really sound like anything they've done before, but I can't stop listening to it. 4. Pendulum -- Very moody, I dig it. The drumming has a Jack Irons feel to it, which is A-okay in my book 5. Sirens -- In a vacuum, this is a great radio song. The biggest issue I have with it is that it very well could have been placed on Use Your Illusion II and it would have fit right in 6. Swallowed Whole -- It's not bad, I don't skip it when it comes on 7. Yellow Moon -- Has the potential to grow on me. I think the only real issue I have with the record is that there is just too much slow down stuff on it, and not enough that's drives you through it 8. MYM -- Ed's atheistic views sometimes just get me down. I believe in God (not looking for a debate here), so the lyrics kind of take me out of the tune. The music is pretty cool, though. 9. My Father's Son -- Whatever is clicking with everyone else on this one has yet to click with me. It doesn't work for me. Tomato, tomatoh. 10. Future Days -- It feels like Ed was looking for a bookend for The End, and wrote Future Days. I get it, you're getting older and have a family. This just feels like ground that he's covered too much lately. 11. Let The Records Play -- there's always one song that makes me say, WTF. Last record it was Johnny Guitar, this record it's this one. 12. SBM -- I blame Brendan O'Brien. We've heard it already, and bringing the whole band in for it seems wasteful. If they were looking for an Ed solo song to record for an album, there were better choices.
Overall: I'd give it a solid B. For a band that's this deep into their career to still be putting out good music, it's a big positive. I wish there were more "rockers," but I'm pleased with the effort and the results and I think some of the songs will grow on me in a live setting for sure.
