Great:
Yellow Moon
Good not great:
Getaway Sirens Lightning Bolt Mind Your Manners
Meh:
My Father's Son Infallible Swallowed Whole Pendulum
Could've been good but pretty bad:
Let the Records Play (the solo breakdown is fabulous, and Stone playing the riff in that video is great but somehow *cough-BOB-cough* the song just doesn't gel).
Horrid, skip every time:
Sleeping By Myself (the better of the two but still lame. It sounds like a Spotify commercial is playing when it comes on.) Future Days (I literally scramble for my iPhone after Yellow Moon ends to stop this from playing).
My opinion hasn't changed in 4 months: not a disaster but this is the band's weakest album.

I used to really like Yellow Moon, but that's fallen quite a bit since the album came out. I like Lightning Bolt more and more as time goes on.

there's a decent EP in there. lots of infuriating B'OBation. many questionnable songwriting twists. a couple of songs that could have been longer (Pendulum and Infallible). on the other hand, while this record (nevermind if i find the songs good or not) achieves something in sounding quite different from song to song, it also hints at what this frustrating band has in itself that is probably quashed by, let's call this "democracy". this album has made me realize that PJ will probably never release a truly adventurous album because they want to please everyone in the band. i'm sure that a Jeff/Matt/Stone (with occasional participation from Ed) partnership would produce the best music. Ed can write the lyrics and Mike can do what he does on guitar but this won't happen. they release albums with no real vision - just collections of songs loosely tied together by artwork and they seem to think that being radio friendly (or B'OBed) is the way to go in order to stay relevant. while the top tiers here are pretty good, every song seems to be born out of compromise. /rant
