Make your own 2-disc PJ Essential set, incorporating songs from Avocado, Backspacer and Lightning Bolt. Maximum of 17 tracks per disc. |

Do you just want my favorite 34 songs or the 34 songs that would "have" to be on an "essentials" album? |

An interesting topic might be; If you were to make a mix tape for a friend that had never heard PJ, and you could only include two songs from each album and two b-sides, what would your song selections be? |

I haven't done this, but I would make disc 1 tracks from Vitalogy through Riot Act, and disc 2 track from Ten, Vs, Pearl Jam, Backspacer, and Lightning Bolt. |

I guess I was anticipating what I think a reasonable greatest hits collection would look like within the limits Jorge posted, I didn't really inject any of my own taste into it (other than making a few calls where to leave off singles, include album tracks like Corduroy, etc.) |

Just curious but if Vitalogy - Riot Act is know as the "Middle Years" what do people call the other records? |
