I started a new project last night- 7 disc compilation, roughly 550 minutes (that's over 9 hours, folks)
1991 - 1994 Ten/Vs/Vitalogy - 3 disc (each 70+ mins) compilation - assembling and re-tracking as many full songs that will fit. For example, I've split Vs. into the 2nd and 3rd discs. Vitalogy tunes are all on the 3rd disc, the Ten-era releases, b-sides, re-releases, etc... mostly on disc 1. Lost Dogs tracks, album re-issue bonus tracks, xmas singles, etc... Most of these recordings fit well together. Trying to keep all Dave A performances on discs 2 and 3
1995 - 1998 No Code/Yield - 2 discs, same theory on source material. Merkinball tunes, a couple of live tracks, maybe a couple Mirrorball tunes as well. All Jack Irons performances
2001 - 2004- Riot Act - 1 disc - re-tracked w/b-sides, plus man of the hour & cold confession. These seem to fit well.
In my opinion, Pearl Jam effectively ended their 12 year run as a studio group / creative force with the release of Riot Act. I am including MOTH and cold confession, which takes it through 2004, 14 years since forming. I think CC was the last creatively aspiring tune they recorded (that we've heard). The evolution of the reception of S/T and Backspacer in the years since their release support that theory. Maybe LB will change that, but I highly doubt it (and i actually do enjoy the new tunes).
My attempt here is to present this 14 year run in a new and comprehensive way.
This thread is a good source, and I will use it and try to provide any additional input as I go through this project.

Before we heard the unreleased Lost Dogs thing (with Anything in Between etc) we had other versions of some Binaural songs going around. I think it was Sad (titled Letter of the Dead), Fatal (with a count in), Education (different from the other two versions), and maybe one more but I can't remember which one.
Also if we're being definitive, the Animal on the Greatest Hits differs by having the feedback at the start.

Here's a few more that clearly belong on page 1-
Breath - Singles/RVM, Rough MB Demo, mixed MB demo/Ten re-issue, Ten Demo SOLAT - Singles/RVM, MB demo/Ten re-issue Footsteps - Lost Dogs, Jeremy single Brother - Ten re-issue, Lost Dogs, Ten demo, unreleased Lost Dogs Nothingman - Vitalogy, demo/Vitalogy re-issue Corduroy - Vitalogy, alt-take/Vitalogy re-issue Betterman - Vitalogy, guitar&organ/Vitalogy re-issue Hard to Imagine - Chicago Cab soundtrack, Vitalogy demo, Lost Dogs, Vs. Demo
Some notes on these- * The Mookie Blaylock demo "Breath and a Scream" from the Ten-reissue >>>>> Singles/RVM version * The Mookie SOLAT is slowed down and completely different, real interesting take * I can't quite catch all the differences in the 4 Brother versions above, but they are all different. At least 3 different performances I think, mixed between music & vocals * Hard to Imagine-> Chicago Cab = Vitalogy demo, and Lost Dogs = Vs. Demo, just mixed and mastered
My anthology track lists (see above) are set, now 9 discs (all 70+ mins). The 2005-2012 era covers the last two, but since there really isn't all that much interesting studio variety (or quality, for that matter), I've decided to make the last two a live compilation of the era, and include some of the more common/staple covers from the time period. It requires a lot of different material to cover two full discs with only the S/T and BS tunes to work from

There are 3 Educations in total. As well as the Lost Dogs version there is:

Ther is a longer version of Long Road on the Dead Man Walking Score. The version on the regular soundtrack is a much shorter edited version. I want to say the one on the score is like 10 minutes long.
