The Lightning Bolt guided tour never reached conclusion, did it? Never made it to Yellow Moon?
it didn't actually. I think got halfway through and work blew up and there was almost no engagement. It was too much work to be something I was just doing for myself. I may finish it before doing one for Gigaton, since they are both middle aged albums and Gigaton resolves or expands upon a bunch of themes on that album.

no PJ songs? It never occurred to me that Yellow Moon was in an alternate signature
It's more like 3/4 with a beat missing in the last bar. (which could technically be called 11/8) one two three - one two three - one two three - one two one two three - one two three - one two three - one two
And that's not the whole song. In some parts it's just 3/4 without the beat missing.
This is what makes it feel similar to Low Light. Low light is 3/4 but with an added beat at some points. one two three - one two three - one two three - one two three four
thanks - I think I can hear that. That time signature is present in the opening music, right?

Yes but it would never be scored like that. Most time sigs can be interpreted different ways, but I always defer to hit it would likely be written out or gridded in a DAW session. Way easier to call it 11/8 with triplets, then change the sig at the bridge, than to call it 3/4 and keep changing that last measure.

I get that. That way it would change between 11/8 and 3/4 all the time, though. I think both ways of counting have their disadvantages.

Did this song SERIOUSLY just win the below poll to be included in an album over all of the rest?? I didn't read back through the thread to get some context but my God.
Release - 7 votes (10%) Better Man - 3 votes (4%) In Hiding - 4 votes (6%) Sleight of Hand - 20 votes (28%) Help Help - 4 votes (6%) Army Reserve - 6 votes (8%) The End - 2 votes (3%) Yellow Moon - 24 votes (34%) Retrograde - 1 vote (1%)

Maybe you should read the opening post for context.
