Working lyrics

Swallowed Whole:
I can feel the dawn, I can feel the earth
I can feel the living all around…..
I can choose a path, I can choose a word
I can start the healing, Bring it now….

Whispered songs inside the wind
Breathing in forgiveness
Like vibrations with no end
Feel the planet humming
What is clear far from the noise, gets swallowed whole

I can feel the sun, I can see the sound
I can set myself right hear and drown….
I can feel the rush, I could clear the clouds
I could set the needles spinning love/loud…..
I can hear the crash, I can feel the pound
I can feel the current pulling down….

Whispered songs inside the wind
Breathing in forgiveness
Like vibrations with no end
Feel the planet humming
What is clear far from the noise, gets swallowed whole

With no quiet to be found
spirit lifted off the ground
and what lies beyond the grave
might be welcomed change
And will come, come what may
with no rest in peace
Until that day

I could choose a path, I could choose the word
I could start the healing, Bring it now….
I could be the sun, I could be the sound
I could set myself right here and drown

Whispered songs inside the wind
Breathing in forgiveness
And the Chapter I’ve not read
Turn the page

I hope he gets tired of singing about the earth soon

maybe the point of this song was to get it all out of his system?

"And the Chapter I’ve not read
Turn the page"

Doesn't work for me as an ending at all. Otherwise, this is pretty much an ITW-style Ed song that the band has done a pretty good job with.

I hope more people refer to it as Swallowed Hole.

:D Yep, insecure Eddie is better than confident Eddie. And he is quite certain that the earth is fucking amazeballz.

This is one of the best things they have ever done.
I am not over reacting.

This is basically Far Behind and Setting Forth and boring

A PJ rendition of an Into The Wild outtake that actually works.
A good, quality song, loving the chorus and the bridge with the solo.

My least favorite of the 4 leaks but still a really good song. If this is the weakest song for me on the album then holy @#*&^% %~!%^&!!

That line about the unread chapter. He's used that image before. In Sometimes 'like a book among the many on the shelf' and there's another great line somewhere in a different song but I can't remember it

Hippie Eddie is my least favourite eddie, or second to fixer cheeseball Eddie I guess. I said it before but at this point I fully expect eds next solo album to be a one hour cover of kumbaya, probably with some ukulele and a chorus of children.

There's about 5 seconds of good/interesting music at 2.06 I think it is where I thought things were gonna go all end if the road on us but no dice. Don't like this at all, but I knew I wasn't going to from the listening party descriptions alone so I shouldn't bitch too much, I'm going to anyway though. I don't really find anything redeeming in the music and even if I did the lyrics would still be a problem.

I actually like the last line, its like the end again where the ending is the best part for me.

As far as I can tell this is about using the beauty of the earth as a deterrent against killing yourself, so uh I guess its a good thing eddies a giant hippie.

Do you like rem, stupid mop? Because their influence is all over this one.

Not really, or well I haven't actually listened to a lot. I like losing my religion and pretty persuasion Lmao. I keep forgetting to check them out properly. When I do I probably won't be liking the ones that sound like this, I know they've got some darker/ weirder stuff that sounds like my kind of thing.

This song does remind me if that one ed did with them.
