The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I reckon this will be the love it or hate it track on the record. And that don't impress me much.
This track has the moves but hasn't got the touch. Now don't get me wrong, I think it's alright, but that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night.

Listen to that Shania song. Doesn't it sound like she sings: "I can't believe you wash your cock at night"?

The best thing about LTRP is its prerogative to have a little fun.
This really shouldn'tbe funny.
Totally crazy.

Chorus of this one: T. Rex, Queen and Thin Lizzy having an orgy.

I'm not a big scholar of Queen's output, but... Queen?
Yeah. I can hear a little "Killer Queen" and "You're My Best Friend" in it.

I listen to a moment like :36-:52 of this song and think, "This is just the way this band is going to be from now on, isn't it?" Its a sobering thought.
Burt, I think you nailed it as to what I'm thinking. I left wondering if Brendan O'Brien's cheez, the band's missteps like from 36 -52 seconds in this song and a more casual attitude toward music is going to stay the norm with this band. I do think I'm going to like this album better than Backspacer... but...
I like a lot of the elements going on in Let The Records Play, but then something from an 80s sitcom theme barges in and makes way too much elbow room for itself right in the midst of the strut. I'm sort of feeling like I'm in a bit of an abusive relationship with this band these days. They keep leading me on, giving me some of what I need, making me believe that they have what I want, and then socking me in the gut with things that seem so foreign and out of place.
I'm used to a Pearl Jam that is full of surprises, but not a Pearl Jam where those surprises are cheez.
People need to begin to embrace the cheese if they're going to move on with Eddie and the Pearl Jams. If they can't, though, it's better that they get out than continue with the abuse.
For me, at this point, it's the only thing I want so much.

Hate to break this to you but Pearl Jam has always been cheesey. Some of those darker, self wallowing moments are cheesey as hell.
Stupid Mop is a dark song trying to sound like a dark song.

basically the dourness is stripped from these songs. It was a pretty common trope in a pearl jam review to talk about how seriously they took themselves and how listening to the albums felt like homework. I think that was often a fair critique--ESPECIALLY on the Binaural to S/T run.

All you need do is "do do doodoo do do dooo" to Black to remind yourself of that
That do dooing was HANDS DOWN the best part of that song.
