Can you guys explain what you like about Glorified G? That song is goofy as fuck. It's an always skip for me.
Ok the song opens up with almost a Aerosmith like lick , but it has a funk swagger. It not good a Black Dog way. It almost is ridiculous goofy is great additive for opening lick, but it doesn't take itself seriously. Then Ed comes in Got A Gun fact I got 2 that's okay man I love God. He really nailed this it is snarky and sarcastic it fits perfectly with that lick. It is such a serious topic, but again it isn't asking to be taken seriously. Then we get The glorified version of pellet gun. This is a incredible vocal melody and delivery. This melody hear it in your head my God it great. It has a lot in common with verses of Go your own way. I'm saying the trick of Go your own ways versus is the same trick as Glorified G chorus. Then the outro. The whole song is so earwormy. It may very well be there first Pop song.
This is true like hair metal at least 99 percent of it its not metal at all. It played by band of guys with long hair. Two of those guys flip their hair along with song. Two men pull off the hat vibe. Mike Is like a diminished Richy Sambora. Jeff a cooler Bobby Dahl.It has plenty of gender specific pronouns. It has a bit of spritz glammy spritz.

I still don’t know what stones saying at the end. “Light on, see me oh hee me oh…”
Life comes, we’ll be gooooone
I always heard it as “here we go” but damn “we’ll be gone” sounds correct and is much better.
When I was younger it felt like the “I can feel your heart in your neck” lyric was kinda nonsense but later in life the interpretation hit me that the narrator is kneeling over a still living gun shot victim and feeling for a pulse. I always liked the song but that really improved it for me.
