Stone really doesnt give enough credit to the uniqueness and wonder of the guitar parts in Dissident.

In most of the band's catalog, really.

I thought the exact same thing. His vamping on the verse chords is really nice, and not as simple as he claims it is.

I don’t know people listen to radio programs. The whole sound and construction of that piece was so obnoxious.

It did drive me batty that the interviews were sometimes louder than the songs.

But all told, I really enjoyed listening to this, even if it didn't add much beyond what had previously been reported (mostly in the Spin piece back in '92 or '93)

Yeah I just looked at the wave form and a 3db cut to the interviews would have made it much better.

The constant resets after every song made me want to kill the announcer

these sorts of amateur decisions on PJ productions are really maddening

Wow, this was really great. This is the kind of commentary I've always hoped for from the band. Never would've guessed Stone would be so forthright & insightful about this stuff.

Stone Gossard was the musical director of the Ten/Vs. era.

This had some info I already knew about but it was still interesting. I had to laugh when Stone said Brendan really wanted to be a part of the Pearl Jam team.

I started this...yeah, its good. Stone is very insightful and clear and its a joy to listen. Its interesting to know how conscious he was on getting a new groove and vibe with Vs. Most of his songs have this approach, from rats to wma.

my favorite part was when Jeff noted the heavy police influence on WMA. I had never heard that before, but now I can never not hear it

I liked a lot what Stone had to say about RVM. Not only ed´s songwriting but how he approach conflict. Its a very cool reading.

This was great. Echo what others have said about Stone's insights. His recall is fantastic.

We need KurtLeon to now unearth Crazy Mary (Sauna).

its rare you hear them speak about the actual music for their songs. The specific guitar parts and how they came together. That was the most exciting part for me and i wish we could get more insight into it. Though, i dont think they have put as much thought into their guitar parts and song writing for quite some time.
