it’s great. But Severed Hand has always felt slightly neutered to me, especially given how loud the record is. This is near the top of my ‘Pearl jam songs I should like more than I do’ list.

I love this one, since it came out really. Watching the band playing it on SNL was a highlight for sure. I do hate Brendan´s mix because he puts the guitars in a third place in the mix...wtf dude. Stone and Mike´s at its finest.

I initially wrote this one off as a Porch knockoff (that intro verse riff is super similar) but less aggressive ("neutered" is a good word, Stip) but now I see the vibe as different; it's a good showcase for a slightly psychedelic, surf funk rock vibe that sells the Avocado album and its themes very well, and makes the album's zombie-Jam artwork (that I always liked) make sense

Probably my favorite song from self titled behind World Wide Suicide. The chorus is ok but I love the verses and especially that guitar solo at the end. I love when they end their songs with solos (Alive, Leash, Quick Escape, etc…)
