I'm excited to tell my dad that this song is called Waiting for Stevie because they wrote it while waiting for Stevie Wonder to turn up to the studio to record something completely different
A definite early favourite and one I find myself humming even though I don't know all the lyrics. This really does harken back to classic early 90s PJ. Ed's sustained notes, the riff and that fantastic outro with Mike slaying on his guitar while Ed wails over it. Just brilliant. This would have been the obvious single choice, for me.

The first poor-quality leak I heard didn't strike me, but as more and slightly better listening party recordings emerge, this one is definitely growing on me. I still think it's funny that the main riff to one of the most throw-back Pearl Jam song in years was written by Ed and a producer/fanboy.
I absolutely love this song I can't get enough of it There hasn't been a PJ song that instantly hit me this hard since at least...Binaural or Yield
Can't believe how they were able to conjure that sound It's like they went back in time and recorded the song using the 20yr old versions of themselves This is like some long lost outtake from TEN that they forgot about
The cool thing is that whilst sounding like a TEN outtake, it somehow feels like a spontaneous thing; one that wasn't calculated Easily my favorite PJ song of the last 25 years

It wouldve vindicated some public opinion that they make the same sound since 91, which we know is far from true, but they have that shit in theyre headspace…maybe thats why it wasnt a single.
