I genuinely hope you love it, definitely wouldn't hold it against you, but, I'd probably think you were a bigger hypocrite than your hero Ed.

Plus, Mike Watt would consider it a bitter betrayal should you give the Wotman a redemption arc.

I honestly don’t give a fuck who likes what

Alright, tough guy, simmer down there....Surely, you do care who likes Wot, no?
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

It is shaping up to sound like a album of anthems. Which I'm all in for. I've now noticed that both WFS and GTG being compared to GTF. Won't Tell from the leak really sounds like my type of song as well. GTG being described as Who Like and like GTF makes me think of Reign on Me . Yes a 90 second solo.

As long as it's not a 90-second Sirens solo

Well to could be. If it's 90secs it probably is more like A TOTD solo though

The reviewer is a Pearl Jam fan. So when he is drawing comparisons they are probably spot on.

I really don't see much difference between Lightning Bolt Ed, Gigaton Ed and Dark Matter Ed (so far) Pretty much all the same in regard to his energy, delivery and quality of vocals.

how they are captured is a bit different, and LB has more of those backspacer/ST moments where he is pushing into a higher register than may be best. but yellow moon would be right at home on gigaton

I also think some Lightning Bolt songs could work together with the two Dark Matter songs with know so far. Mind your matters and My Fathers son for example.

This place is pure entertainment for me. Unless I'm talking about my amazing wife, a serious, real-world, off-topic situation (ie not Pearl Jam), or , annoying people with obnoxious audio production babble, please don't take anything I say seriously...ever.
