Just listened to the Broken Record interview. Jeff and Stone sound so at peace and happy with where things are and the new album. Really great to hear that.
They both sounded authentically excited for the present and future of the band.
Where can we find this?
Thank you, Friend Farmer
This interview is so great, I am very fond of these two gents!
in first listens, this album was very mid, nothing special. But after a few more listens, holly shit. I'm in love.
5/5 React/Respond, Wreckage, Upper Hand, Waiting for Stevie 4/5 Dark Matter, Running, Setting Sun, Scared of Fear 3/4 Something Special 2/5 Won't Tell, Got To Give
Still trying to get on Won't Tell and Got to Give, but the whole U2/Coldplay vibes on the former and the Into The Wild vibes on the later are just not my cup of tea.
But goddam, Upper Hand, Wreckage and Waiting For Stevie might be their best thing since I don't know, Yield or Binaural, maybe.
And the outro of React/Respond is just blissfull rock'n Roll chaos.

They seem to be polar opposites in all aspects other than music. It has been the basis for creation of such incredible music for so long..
We're really lucky as fans to have these two as the anchors of the band

Appreciate the Stone & Jeff interview, thank you!

He explained they usually play their best shows in smaller markets and used Little Rock as an example (and acknowledged they’re not actually playing in Little Rock on this tour).
So wild to me they still get nervous playing shows. Like, I get it, if you're not nervous you don't care ....but even after all these years they get more nervous playing in front of friends and family than they do strangers in smaller markets.
Nice to hear their insecurities and I think that's why I love this band. They're still... normal

There is something very refreshing about them. Stone always feels so happy to be here. Jeff is so humble and wise. Mike is basically the guy next door who also happens to be a rock star. Ed is Ed, lol. Matt Cameron is that guy who's always at the gym but isn't a jocular asshole.

Ill visit the polling station Stip I visit here quite often, but dont post much obvi. Ive always enjoyed the banter between yall lol Ive been to around to 40 pj shows, i dont know if thats alot, or a little. First was Merriweather 96, and most recent was Camden 22. Was supposed to go to Indy. Its fun it hear yalls interpretations and analysis of song/albums...among other things lol Also, great info, AND entertainment! Ive enjoyed experiencing this with you guys. I have friends coming out of the woodwork to talk to me about the album. Some friends are musicians, some are casual fans. My mom, whose 77, or just turned 78, loves pearl jam, and she cried when she heard Wreckage. Also, Setting Sun. I was not with her when she listened but i know she had bose ear buds. So definitely nice quality. I dont think she got around to finishing the album yet. Every one has been REALLY surprised, impressed, excited, shocked, pleased ect! Like, going on and on, in detail! About certain songs, melodies, vocals, bridges and breakdowns, and hooks and solos, and really getting into it Its wild! Its a really great feeling to be able to experience this musical experience with old friends and family who live 3000 miles away...

What does the % represent? Percent of songs that received at least 4 stars? If so, I’d love to know how Vitalogy gets a 100% when it has mediocre songs like Satans Bed and Whipping on it, plus thematic ‘songs’ like Bugs, Pry To, That’s Me.
Today marks 5 years since losing my mom. I remember Avocado came out right when my dad passed, the mailman handed me my copy as the ambulance took my dad away... The band always seems to be there just at the right times... I just balled all the way through Dark Matter... My mom would have loved this album so much. Thanks for letting me vent for a moment.
