Hearing Jeff say "I'm 61" on that interview was a little startling

I especially love injuring myself in my sleep. Going to bed just fine and waking up with neck or back pain.
I noticed the drop off in recover ability the past year in particular. I play basketball with some guys in their late twenties and early thirties. My brain tells me to do the things I once did when I was their age, but my body is like “haha fuck you”. Just doesn’t happen.

Unless they're gonna start chowing down on stem-cells to constantly regenerate and live to 130, it's probably a bit overly-pedantic to call a 65 year-old person middle-aged.
This is really all I was saying. I just think it’s amusing misnomer that what we call “middle age” is well past the middle of most of people’s lives. I am not campaigning for a widespread shift in how people use these terms.

can any enterprising posters highlight the best bits?
not enterprising, but of note: Snippets were brought in, but no full tracks - 8 or 9 of the songs were almost fully written within 1-2 hours - Ed wrote all of the lyrics on the spot.
Jeff referred to “won’t Tell” as “won’t tell a sole” and he plays a baritone guitar on that track
React/Respond spawned from Jeff’s initial part he brought into the group

I’ve always agreed with your way of seeing it. I always thought it was weird to have it begin so late. The 35-55 range would be much more accurate.

This is hilarious, btw. Haven't read that in about twenty years, yet still remember it.

I’m guessing they still wouldn’t use medieval musical instruments.
I'd be so down for an album with Stone on lute & Mike on hurdy gurdy

Look at jagger. Guy is pushing like 100 and still rocking the chicken dance .
I like that Jeff said they still feel like they have their best album in then. Obviously we know this is not the case but I I hope they keep trying as long as it does not result in LB like efforts.
