The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I think I've been on the boards since S/T, and every one of those albums, barring LB, was received positively. I don't know if I can rank how positive (like I don't think the Backspacer reaction was uniformly positive), but generally, people liked those records. LB was definitely different, maybe stemming from it's similarities to Backspacer and people feeling like they'd already been burnt once with that style.

1. I like the intros / interludes; I've missed them doing that
2. I'm getting used to Running in that position but it is whiplash
I like the intros/interludes as well. I have not downloaded the leak. Does the opening intro repeat at the end of the record? If not I feel this was a missed opportunity
S/T - suffers from what i call…lack of Highs…its a good record, not really any classics on it, Unemployable would be the template to what came the next decade.

Best I can do for now:
Tier 1 (Could potentially end up my favorite on the album): Scared of Fear, Won't Tell, Upper Hand, Waiting for Stevie, Got to Give, Setting Sun
Tier 2 (Songs that are or might end up 4+ stars): React/Respond, Wreckage, Dark Matter (works way better as an album track than a standalone for me), Running (I really like it, and like it even more with that little interlude that precedes it)
Tier 3: Something Special
I dunno. I'm trying not to be a knee-jerk dummy because Gigaton was so good and so unexpected, so how could they do that again, yet in such a different overall style?

It's a long time ago, but I think everyone really liked S/T when it was released. That kind of dulled with time, but the initial reaction was pretty huge.
I tried a couple of others and when I tried to go to checkout on Qobuz it recognised I was using a VPN and wouldn't let me buy the album. Is there any way around that?
Seems like turning on split tunneling in vpn settings will do it, but it’s only available on PC. Lazy to try it, I’ll just wait for tomorrow!

Feels like there's more enthusiasm and positive reaction from DM the album vs. the last few records, specific to the RM community.
What do you guys think/remember?
I think ST was very well received, Backspacer not so much, LB had huge detractors from day one and Gigaton was highly praised. But yeah, DM seems loved like no other.

Unemployable is amazing
I love it so much.
