The interlude after WFS is indeed gorgeous, but I really don't get the placement. I wish it would have somehow blossomed into its own song. It's utterly jarring when Running starts (and I'm one of the few who love Running)

Running and Something Special were both songs that suffered considered in a vacumn. I'm loving them on this album more and more with each listen
Hold on - waiting for stevie just came on. Need a desktop headphones listen
I loved Running from the get go at it is even better on the album the bridge we agree
Something Special turned me off even though maybe it resonates a bit . The hearing on here knowing the two that follow I now really like it it sounds great as well . Guitar tone is different in a good way. I'm sure it the only song that isn't at least 4 stars but it isn't asking for that . It like if your child gave you a self portrait done with crayons. Then you were told to rate it. So I'm not gonna tell Ed he's no Tom Waits when he holds up this song . I'm simple gonna smile say it is Beatiful and hang it on the fridge.
My ears are ringing after this second listen. I listened at around ~78db both times today, according to the db meter app on my phone.
Understand that I regularly listen to records that peak at the same level, but because they have broader dynamic range, and aren’t so bright, my ears don’t ring after. This is awful.

Back from my drive. Played it loud. They just absolutely fucking go for it on almost every song. The lyrics are not always uplifting, but the music is euphoric.
I don't think I know how to actually try talk about this yet.

Why are your ears ringing? I've been listening all day no ringing.
I mean this album is an onslaught, and a lot of these are mid tempo, not particularly aggressive compositions, even when they're firing on all cylinders. I listen normally at a pretty high volume, and i've had to turn it down.
This is not super high on my list of deal breakers (and I have my own that others would likely roll their eyes at), but Dark Matter is A LOT

Pretty sure this leak is fucky. Compare the first 10 seconds of DM or Wreckage from the leak and the first 10 from the same songs on streaming and the leak is clearly redlining a lot. Is it from a stream capture?
