The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

I’m so happy the band, their music, and this board can still make me feel like this after so many years.

Immense joy tonight. Grateful that they're all here and as enthused about still making music together as they are. It's been an absolute pleasure to share it with RM.

It's definitely a 5 star There's not a skip song on here I finish listening, and I want to listen over and over again
Without question this is the best PJ album since S/T It may even eventually give S/T, Riot Act, & Binaural a run for their money
It's been a blast discovering this with you all
I hope the people are smiling
It's a good time to be a PJ fan
Good night.

For sure, I am in no way saying this is their best album...
But... the combination of what RM has grown into over the years, the waiting and waiting through multiple efforts, the spark of hope provided by Gigaton, the delivery of the goods like a boss
Damn, I have not enjoyed an album release like this since Vs... and that is not hyperbole

I can unabashedly enjoy pretty much everything they've done, to varying degrees, but, I can't believe how profound it is to hear Pearl Jam simply being Pearl Jam instead of trying to be Pearl Jam. It's astounding how active the spark still is when they simply allow themselves to exist together.

All of these songs feel like natural songs...that sounds pretty stupid (probably is) but they don't feel like disparate parts stitched together to form a song. They feel like good ideas allowed to breathe and naturally arrive at their logical conclusion.

Setting Sun harkens back to Hard to Imagine from the perspective of the person who persevered.

Nevermind my last whiney post about this board. Nice to see lots of love.
On my second listen now. I was not blown away by any of the singles. They are all fine, but not the sort of self contained entities that got me super excited for the album. But in context, it all really works. Even Something Special in all of its cheese filled sappytude is somewhat lovable.
It is nice to see Eddie embrace hooks with such vigor. It all works a lot better than on Lightning Bolt for example.
Several tracks feel like they are unpacking Cornell’s suicide, which gives them an extra potency. I may be totally off on that interpretation.
Really loving it. I am truly enjoying it so far. Hopefully it will stick with me upon multiple listens. Glad to see the initial excitement from you guys and gals.

Most written and recorded as a band, together, in a very short period of time. The opposite of their method in the last 20 years.
