I’ll be the voice of dissent — there are a few all-timers on that list (“Corduroy,” “RVM,” “Insignificance”), and a few dung piles (“Future Days,” “Gone,”), but a lot of that stuff is pretty middle-of-the-pack.

Finally listening to the half speed remaster today. It’s well done in most respects — great instrument separation, L-R sound stage, and surprisingly dynamic and not vocal-forward — my hat’s off to them in all these respects.
It does tend to favor Jeff’s bass, and sometimes that muddies up what the guitars are doing a little bit.
I’ll have to A/B at some point with my OP to see which I prefer. All things considered it’s a very fine pressing, though not quite as impactful as the Yield half-speed, which is the best that album will probably ever sound.

songfacts:Are you still in touch with any of your former Pearl Jam band mates?
Abbruzzese: It’s strange. I’m actually in contact with Dave Krusen, Jack Irons, and Matt Cameron, but I haven’t spoken to or heard from any of the other band members since I got fired. Not one thing.

at the end of the day for all of Pearl Jam's themes of moral superiority they are actually very weak people (see: their last half-dozen shitty albums)
