All hail the greatest sophomore record of all time. Still stands in there like a great heavyweight, shucking and jiving and grooving, delivering knockout blows over and over again. Much love to the RM board, especially those still grinding it out since the early 00’s!

Still my fav album.

I was working at Target when this came out. It was due for release Monday/Tuesday. But on the Saturday after closing the boss called me out the back and there was the CD display for Vs with about 100 copies ready for sale.

The boss let me take a copy home Saturday and pay for it Monday.

One of the Greatest day ever.

Go/Animal/daughter left me stunned and although I wanted to listen to the entire album.I re-started the album after Daughter due to I had to listen to those first 3 songs again.

I remember jumping around and going crazy to Blood/RVM.

Ten - Yield is such an untouchable run, a favorite is impossible.

I think I bought this one at midnight at Strawberries. I bought the cassette version, and I'm sure the album title was Five Against One.

I listened to it a bunch. I wish I still had that tape.

I had the tape that had Five Against One printed on it too. I gave it to my GF when I bought the CD.

My only critique is that this is distracting us from Lightning Bolt's 10 year anniversary

I bought this just a few days after it came out because I was at the mall with some older boys from my youth group and I wanted to fit in. We blasted it in their econoline on the way home and I was immediately floored. Had been listening to Guns n Roses, Ugly Kid Joe, stuff like that, but this was on another level. One of those Freaks & Geeks sort of defining moments. Overnight it became “my” music, a band I could align my whole identity with.

Still back in the old hometown. She works at the hospital in the town I’m in now. Well, she did. I assume she’s still there. It’s probably been 20 years or so since I’ve seen her.
