Okay what does that all mean?

Also, for some reason I recall an article stating Josh Evans was gonna remaster?

Eddie’s voice sounds nasally.

It means that the dynamic range for each song is either 9db or 10db. That's generally a decent dynamic range, though it can get skewed for all sorts of reasons. I'm specifically curious if the between-song crowd noise gets counted, as it's likely a few db lower than the softest part of the song.

wonder if this means a vault release of the entire show is forthcoming.

That's the way it sounded for the Yield tour in general.

Ha. It just sounds to me like they sucked the echo from the mic out. It’s more pronounced in the first few songs, or I just got used to it.

Yes. I agree with this.

They mentioned on social media this will be steaming for a limited time.

So, is this worth ripping at high quality to save for future generations or are the digital versions of this show already out there good enough?

The streaming version is almost certainly the same as the new CD, only worse (lower bitrate, etc.)

(Also, hello Strat.)

Sure, but it only works if it's followed two days later by a release on crystal clear vinyl.

It’s been a very long since I heard this show (the whole thing). In My Tree, Given to Fly, Evolution, and Immortality are the reasons to have this but they were pretty on that night. Seems like as the album progressed Eddie sounded less nasally.

I was able to snag one of the CD’s from Bull Moose’s website on Sunday morning, apparently in an immense stroke of luck and good timing. It arrived yesterday. The sleeve is lovely, and what I’ve played so far sounds great — better or worse than the best bootleg versions, I’m not sure, but regardless, there is definitely some satisfaction that comes with having this thing in my hands after 25 years. It broke 14 year-old KD’s heart when he walked to Best Buy in the summer of 1998 and found out at the door that it had been blacklisted. This is my favorite PJ era no doubt, and I’m so glad it’s finally represented in the official canon.

there are some good renditions on this one and its specially interesting to hear Jack play the Yield songs, but overall i feel there are better shows.

In My Tree and Given to Fly benefit most on this from Jack’s groove over Matt’s propulsion.
