The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I was able to snag one of the CD’s from Bull Moose’s website on Sunday morning, apparently in an immense stroke of luck and good timing. It arrived yesterday. The sleeve is lovely, and what I’ve played so far sounds great — better or worse than the best bootleg versions, I’m not sure, but regardless, there is definitely some satisfaction that comes with having this thing in my hands after 25 years. It broke 14 year-old KD’s heart when he walked to Best Buy in the summer of 1998 and found out at the door that it had been blacklisted. This is my favorite PJ era no doubt, and I’m so glad it’s finally represented in the official canon.
The vinyl also sounds great; I am glad we are both happy.
I didn't forget Jack. I expected someone to quote me and add Jack. And someone to quote them and add Jeff. And someone to quote them and add Stone. And someone to quote them and say Stone doesn't actually do anything worthwhile on this album.

Aside from this being incomplete but also available on the round spinny thing, does anyone know if it even sounds better than this version available on https://pearljamconcertchronology.com/dgr-series/ which is the best sounding complete version I'm aware of?

I didn't notice any significant differences between what FGE compiled and the official release, other than recognizing when the official release cut something out.

Was the original Best Buy version the whole show or was it truncated like this release?
Identical. This is a replica of the Best Buy release.
I also notice that it is getting a lot more attention than usual in general music areas, which is baffling to me.
Maybe because it looks like a "regular" release?
Maybe the version I have in my archives isn't a true rip of the BB disc, but I don't think this release is quite "identical." Several tracks have different run times, evidently retracked to allow for songs to start at the beginning of the music as opposed to including Ed-speak at the start. I agree, however, that the new release seems to have the same overall sound as the ill fated BB release.
