Anyone who hangs around the Vault threads knows that I’ve spent years banging the drum that full shows don’t matter to me—it’s inevitable that there will be piecemeal shows from back before the bootleg series, and I’d rather have the best quality/best performances over a complete show. Gimme “Best of Asia ‘95” or “Fuck Ticketmaster: 1996 Highlights” and I’ll be happy. So, as far as Give Way goes, as long as it sounds good, I’m excited.

Compilation projects are fine, but when the product is given as a specific show, I want the complete show.

This sounds a lot more like an easy cash-grab. Really don't see how they're going to improve over any of the five copies of this show I already have either.

Do we think it will also come out on digital services? I mean we’re Pearl Jam fans so it’s not like we are going to skip the record, cd, cassette tape, 8 track, and kids symphonic versions for the stream. We are hungry hungry hippos with this stuff.
I would happily hand them my wallet if they'd release any additional shows from that '98 Tour to include the Pacific/AUS/NZ run of shows, complete or not, I don't care.
Mend fences with Brett Eliason, resurrect the basecamp model and release them in chunks. The vinyl collector is...kind of niche at this point. Same with cassettes. Feels like releasing these shows on vinyl is them fucking with us. Just slap them bitches on a server, name your price, and I'll pay and download.
So yeah, I am a hungry hungry hippo.
They wrote a song about vinyl called Spin The Black Circle (pull it out...paper sleeve, all my joy, etc.), clearly they don't see it as a niche.

I don't see this as a cash grab, I think they were looking at something that was relatively turn key and maybe righting a wrong. I can't imagine they make all that much money off this. It's not like this band has as many fans as Springsteen or U2.
This is a neat artifact and hope I'm able to get it, but I'm not waiting in line or buying from flippers. It does smell like down the road they're going to release the complete show so they compel suckers like us to buy it twice.
my prize PJ is the No Code vinyl signed by Ed. My friend used to work for Letterman and he got it autographed for me back in the day when Ed was a guest.
