"Footsteps" [90/92 Mix]
Sources: "Jeremy" single (Ed & Stone) PJ20 Soundtrack (demo) Lost Dogs (harmonica)
The first time I heard the instrumental "Times of Trouble" demo, I wondered if it might be possible to mix in Ed's vocal from the Rockline performance. I finally decided to try it a month ago.
Since neither is beat-matched, and both have different grooves - I ended up mostly having to synchronize Stone's guitar(s), sometimes measure by measure, and hoping for the best.
Despite the "90/92" name, I did fly in the harmonica from the Lost Dogs version, only because I got used to hearing it. It seemed to mesh pretty well with those instrumental sections.
There is some occasional shittiness in the Rockline performance (caused by the tempo-shift) that I can't fix, but I tried to mask it as much as possible.
I consider this a "beta" version - let me know if you hear anything totally out of line.

Thanks, guys! I wasn't sure if this was just something in my head or if it might appeal anyone else.
One thing I really liked about this - if only because I haven't listened to the instrumental all that much - is the piano work, especially towards the end. (The liner notes only mention Stone, Jeff, Matt, and Mike - I'm wondering if the piano might be an uncredited Rick Parashar.)
