Over the history of live shows, the studio tracks often go through lyrical and melodic changes over the years. Hearing a live version that differs from the album can be an exciting surprise. What's less fun is that once he makes that change he seems to keep it in stone forever, never once returning to the original melody.
I have two major ones
1. I would love to see him actually start Even Flow with "Freezin'" again, instead of "Kneelin"(??). Bonus points if he doesn't add all the growl. 2. Please just once sing EVERYTHING HAS CHAINS without going up for "Has", the original melody is so much cooler IMO. Also this has only gotten worse with the singalong. This is one of the best moments in the catalog and it never sounds as good live
Bonus: Please play original tempo Even Flow one more time

Biggest one for me is how he's changed "he still gives his love, he just gives it away" in "Given to Fly." Very much prefer the original inflection.
Yes, I also much prefer the exhalted way he goes up for 'a human being that was given to fly' on the studio version. I don't think he's sung it like that live since those few 1997 shows.

I personally feel Lukin is an absolute mess nowadays. Especially when compared to some of the older shows. Grant it, i'm sure it's not an easy one to sing, but other than the chorus, it's almost become unintelligble except for the words "stinking grease and bone", "supermarket people stare like I'm a dog", "purchasing a fucking gun". Not sure if it's bc it's being played a lot faster, age, or what, but i somewhat cringe hearing this one live anymore.

I feel like he forgot the lyrics years ago and is too ashamed to admit it

Oakland with Stuverud and Fresno with Krusen might not be original tempo but they're definitely slower.
Whoa what, he played Even Flow with Krusen? When??
The most recent show in Fresno before the last 2 dates of the leg were canceled. Krusen played on 10 songs and Josh and Stuverud played on the others (it was the 3rd show Matt missed with covid). Where ya been?
