If you can say, please. ..... What exactly, musically, is going on between 2:29 - 2:42 that makes that part of the song sound so good...? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=It0F-jQkiKA I'd love to know. |

The 98 versions, especially Montreal and Knoxville, are pretty great too. I treasured those recordings as a kid. |

Listening to the Orpheum show from '94. Love the delicate sound of the first half of this song. |

It really is beautiful/incredible. That first half is by far one of the BEST Ive ever heard PJ sound besides some clunkiness in the guitars when they play together. Eddie's voice is O_O |

That is my favorite PJ show of all time. That band was PERFECT. |

This was definitely the best time period for the band... from a purely performance perspective. H2I is o e of the very few songs I wish I had seen live at some point, but haven't |

This '94 set has also been popping up Sirius lately. That was the band I latched on to. |

The biggest problem with this song for me, IMO, is that it feels unfinished like Stip said. The first half is brilliant and the connection to the second half is tenuous IMO and then it feels like it needs something else. |

I wish there was another opening verse once the music kicks in. Like the "things were different then" part...the first time he sings it. I wish he was instead still singing that amazing opening tune over this bigger music. And I wish there were less "Things were different then"s because they repeat too much to me |
