I LOVED that the band was releasing some of their best material as b-sides. Hard to Imagine and Yellow Ledbetter. As a youth, this was mind-blowing. That being said, that stint of the S/T tour where they were opening w Hard to Imagine was not very good. Too fast (and too heavy)....like many other live versions of songs. |

Was "HTI" used as an opener very often on the S/T tour? I don't think it was. |

It was in 2008 they opened with it a bunch. This song at the Vic Theater 2007 was one of my favorite live Pearl Jam moments. |

5 stars for sure. This remains the #1 song on my list of songs I'd like to hear live (at least once). Some 35 odd shows later - nada. I remember awhile back - wasn't there a crazy long soundcheck of this song for a concert in Barcelona - (either 96? or 2000?) that was really long (26 minutes sticks in my head for some reason). I wanted this soundcheck badly. |
