Me too, but that was a good version. This song was done pretty consistently well during the '08-'09 era, something of a rarity in that sense -- though my favorite live versions are Gorge and Halifax '05. |

I wasn't implying the 8-24-09 version wasn't good. But the Chicago Cab version is perfect. |

These lines: Things were different then, all is different now. I tried to explain. I hope this works somehow. Really hit me in the good spot. |

I'm giving it 4 stars because I know it's a good song, but it's always felt slightly unfinished--almost like a demo. I can't quite like this song as much as I know I should. Pretty great live. |

5 stars. It's like Present Tense with less cheese. |

5 stars. This is a special song. 4/12/94 is the pinnacle live performance for me. |

This song is like "Release" -- a gradual swell of static energy, like a rolling thunder off in the distance that rumbles deep a few times to make its presence known, then vanishes. By itself, it's tough to count it among the greats, but its functionality as catalog flavor wins it a few more points. It works, as many of their concert openers do, as a great tension-builder, before the cap comes off and all hell breaks loose. And technically, it doesn't require much of the band -- the arrangement skews loose, and the vocals don't seem particularly challenging -- so it can be performed in concert seemingly at will with minimal risk of fuckup. |

I have never really liked this song. This would be one of the most overrated songs in their catalog, along with Yellow Ledbetter. |

I can't say enough good things about Yellow Ledbetter |
