I wish there was another opening verse once the music kicks in. Like the "things were different then" part...the first time he sings it. I wish he was instead still singing that amazing opening tune over this bigger music.

And I wish there were less "Things were different then"s because they repeat too much to me

Srsly... I used to think it sounded incomplete. Hell, it may be. But I think with this song less is more. I used to feel the same way about Sometimes, but now I love it just the way it is.

H2I is a treat! I once rec'd a tape via b&p... It had the 1996 Bridge school shows on it, and as an extra treat the taper included a sound check of H2I from Barcelona 1996. It was great, hearing the band figure out the chords, then the cool solo thingy, then Ed joined in to remember the lyrics. This song swells into such an amazing crescendo! Top shelf PJ song for sure!

The 98 versions, especially Montreal and Knoxville, are pretty great too. I treasured those recordings as a kid.

I was at the Knoxville show.

Same here!

Sweet!

My cousin still owes me $75 for his ticket.

The cool thing is that was the last show I saw until '05 at the Gorge. This was the last show HTI was played at until the Gorge show.

They should play this one live more. I just heard the Tampa one from 2016 and it was still good
