I’m impressed. I assumed we would hear blowback from people who attended PJ20 demanding that the release was special for them. Maybe I am missing something. I’ll get it once it is on CD. $45 plus shipping is a lot to spend on a show…it costs more than the cost of seeing that show with a friend in 1992, right?
It's cheaper than the Zombie Funkos.

I wonder how many people who were handed that thing upon walking in were relatively casual fans who just said, "WTF am I supposed to do with this?" and threw it away.

I thought Jeff said they were working on vault with an audience mix.
did you let us down, Jeffrey?
Where did he say this? If this is something the will consider, the options have opened WAY up.
Like a soundboard/AUD matrix, or just slapping a label on an audience recording and selling it for $45 on vinyl?
I guess the music is theirs to sell but this would be a disappointment, IMO. I have my fondnesses for certain audience recordings but can't imagine getting excited about something like that as an officially-sanctioned product (at least not from PJ, where so many high quality recordings already exist and lower-quality ones are abundant on the internet).
Though to be fair, a high-quality 1996-98 show is probably the only PJ item that would tempt me these days. I'm pretty happy with the abundance of great quality stuff we already have, especially when we have guys like Brad and WCT to whip it into shape for us.

Jeff said it on podcast/youtube interview a few months ago. i can't quite remember which one, but i feel like it's either posted in the jeff ament appreciation thread, or the pearl jam references one. he didn't specify from what show or tour, but said it was a mix of what they had and an AUD recording.

SOLD OUT.
Wow, I can't remember a vault ever being sold out before it's actually shipped. My guess is that these are already pressed, they're just waiting for them to arrive in order to ship them.
