Are we all at least agreed on the potential silver lining? That Ed is going to relegate this sort of music for his solo stuff, and Pearl Jam is taking a big step back to sounding like Pearl Jam again?
This is where I am. I’m all for him having an outlet to get this shit out of his system.
Next release will be selective covers: Back to the Future edition. Eddie sings Earth Angel, Johnny B. Goode, and all the Huey Lewis you could have been dreamed of. Cat Power guests as Chuck Berry’s talented cousin.
I'd take a covers album of Huey doing Ed solo songs.

Even the abortion of a song that we all deem horrible?

Have not been able to watch that full "The Haves" video. Just can't. I'll listen to it when the record comes out, but don't think I'll make it all the way through before then.

I wouldn't say i hate it. I like the debut version from bridge school, and that's about it. shame too given that it's a Jeff song, and i like a lot of Jeff songs.

I've never seen a poor Penn performance (I didn't see I Am Sam). Also I'm excited to see him in Licorice Pizza, as are many others. He still has A-list starpower.
