Obviously Eddie hasn't been a stranger to this kind of music and lyrics (others have drawn comparisons to Future Days, which might be my least favorite PJ song, so you can guess I'm not over the moon about this song). What's interesting is that whatever flaws the album may have, this kind of approach is completely absent from Gigaton, which makes me wonder why that is. Did Ed just feel a different approach was demanded by the music, or did something about the band's creative process make sure this type of stuff didn't make it?
